Our Cancellation Policy of Casa Carina Espiche

We require a cancellation notice of four weeks (30 days) before your scheduled arrival.
Otherwise, the following charges will apply:

–  From 4 weeks before your arrival, the deposit pre-payment will be forfeited
–  Between 4 weeks and 14 days, 50% of the total amount
– Between 14 days and 7 days, 75% of the total amount
– Between 7 days and 1 day, failure to communicate any cancelation or changes to your scheduled arrival: 100% of the total amount

Our Full-House Rental Cancellation Policy

– Until 60 days before the arrival, no charges will be applied for any cancellation.
– 60 days to 21 days before your date of arrival, cancellation charges are equal to previously made prepayment.
– 21 days prior arriving and later,  will be charged the full price of the booking.

Deposit: To be able to rent the full house, we require a deposit of €300, which can be transferred online or in cash upon arrival. You will get your deposit returned after the control at your check-out. If the deposit is online, you will have this returned within a maximum of 14 days.

We would not expect to have to make any changes to your booking, but we may, at any time before your check-in, make alterations or, cancel your booking if the required accommodation and/or personnel and/or other resources necessary for the provision of the room are not available due to any cause outside our reasonable control. If we cancel a reservation in such circumstances, we will offer you alternative accommodation and/ or a course of the same standard or better if it is available. If it is not available or we offer it to you, and you decline it, we will refund to you in full any deposit or other advance payment that you have made to us for your reservation. In the case of a cancellation, we are not held liable for any expenses or travel costs.

Terms and conditions of Casa Carina Espiche

          – FEES AND PAYMENT

  • Cleaning fee: When renting out the full house, we add an additional non-profit fee of €75. However, this fee is only for usual cleaning. If the house if left in messy conditions, we will add hourly rates of the cleaning lady and withdraw this of your deposit.
    When you request a reservation, we will quote any rate(s), which apply to the specificity of the enquiry made at this time only.
  • We may alter any of our rates without prior notice but if the rate of any service increases between the time when you make a booking and the date when the booked room accommodation or other service is to be provided, any increase in the rate will not apply to your booking.
  • Additional or alternative charges may apply for any upgrade or changes to accommodation or other services or activities that you may choose to participate in during the period of the booking. We will inform you of rates payable for such additional Services on request and the balance will be settled at the end of stay. We reserve the right to waiver any refund or offset of balance should you not communicate any changes within the time frame advised upon your arrival at the guesthouse.
  • You may pay us for services (and for any deposit or other advance payment on account of that payment) by cash or by bank transfer by which we will provide the appropriate information. We have the right to change the method of payment available without prior notice.
  • Upon arrival guests can book their breakfast for the next day. Extra services can possibly be charged and only be paid in cash. 
  • Credit cards and bank transfers are only accepted before arrival. The payment method accepted at Casa Carina Espiche is cash only.

    – BOOKING TERMS

  • By Portuguese law we must ask you when you request us to make a reservation, to  provide us with your identification information including, but not limited to, your name, contact telephone number, date of birth, and email address.
  • Payment and cancellation conditions may vary if booked through a booking agent but all other conditions apply to each guest staying at Casa Carina Espiche.
  • Your request to us to make a reservation for you, will constitute an offer by you to purchase the services but whether we accept any such offer will be for us to decide at our discretion. Only once we tell you that we accept your request for a particular reservation and confirm to you the booking confirmation form, will there be a booking. 
  • The booking will be reserved until prepayment of an agreed deposit is paid , however failure to complete payment within 7 days of requesting the booking, will result in expiration of the booking.
  • You may communicate any desire to change your reservation at any time prior to your arrival (subject to the cancellation provisions set out above). We will use all reasonable endeavours to accommodate your requested changes, although we cannot guarantee that we will be able to accommodate such changes.
  • As the person making the booking, you are responsible for the actions and behaviour of everyone in the booking. You are responsible to make sure the payment for deposit goes ahead on time (that your bank, debit card or credit card details are correct, and that there’s enough money available in your account). You are also responsible for obtaining their permission before providing us with their personal data and will communicate the stated terms of the booking as well as timing of any scheduled lesson to all members of the party.

    – INSURANCE 
    Travel Insurance is compulsory under EU law. All occupants are responsible for ensuring that they have adequate Travel Insurance and a 24 hour Emergency Tel No. The use of the accommodation and amenities are offered on the condition that they are used entirely at the occupant’s own risk. We cannot accept responsibility for accidents, injuries, illness, death, robbery or theft, or loss or damage to users’ or visitors’ property or belongings, including motor vehicles, however caused. Cancellation charges may be covered by the Insurance.

    – MINIMUM AGE
    For booking at Casa Carina Espiche you have to be over eighteen years of age. Any customers under the age of 18 years must have the written permission of his/her parent or guardian before or upon arrival at the check-in. The parent hereby declares his child mature and liable enough to go on holiday and is responsible for his/her behaviour. Casa Carina Espiche does not take over any duty of supervision. The parent or guardian needs to be aware and accept the risk involved in adventure activities and ensure themselves accordingly.

    – MEDIA DISCLAIMER
    I hereby release and grant to Casa Carina Espiche, and his or her assigns, licensees, and legal representatives, the irrevocable right to use any photographs of me taken by the Photographer, in all forms and media, whether now existing or not yet created, and in all manners, including composite or distorted representations, for advertising, trade, promotional, charitable, education, or any other lawful purposes. I hereby waive any right to inspect or approve the finished versions, including written copy that may be created in connection therewith. Only by written message such as e-mail or WhatsApp with a clear written request to not use photos of him/her, Casa Carina Espiche will make sure those details won’t be used.

    – HOW WE USE YOUR PERSONAL INFORMATION
    All personal information provided by you will be collected, processed and used in line with the our privacy policy, which means all collected data we have from you will be strictly private and is only needed because by law it’s required to posses this data about the customers staying at any accommodation. Personal information will be deleted after your stay and not used for any further personal use.

    – BREAKAGES / DAMAGES 
    All breakages and damages are the legal responsibility of the hirer, who is responsible for the property and is expected to take all reasonable care of it. All equipment, utensils etc. must be left clean and the property must be left clean and tidy at the end of the rental period. Please ensure that any damage found on arrival is reported to the Management / Housekeeper within 24 hours of arrival and also as soon as it occurs, so that it can be rectified for the next occupants. 
    – DO NOT SMOKE IN THE BEDROOMS OR INSIDE THE HOUSE- Cigarette marks or burns on furniture or linen will be charged at full replacement cost. A refundable security deposit of £100 may be required on arrival and is held against you.

    – COMPLAINTS
    We always welcome feedback from guests and, whilst we always use all reasonable endeavours to ensure that your experience as a customer of ours is a positive one, we nevertheless want to hear from you if you have any cause for complaint. If you have any complaint about our services or any other complaint about the accommodation, please raise the matter with the relevant general manager who can be contacted at cfccaspers@gmail.com so that the problem can be resolved. We are not responsible for any matter which you did not bring to our attention during your holiday. If the problem is not resolved locally to your satisfaction. Our complaint book is available, please ask the manager.

    – FORCE MAJEURE
    We shall not be in breach of these Conditions nor shall we be liable for any delay in performing, or failure to perform, any of our obligations under these Conditions if such failure or delay results from events, circumstances or causes beyond our reasonable control. Such causes include, but are not limited to power failure, internet service provider failure, fire, flood, storms, earthquakes, acts of terror or any other event that is beyond our control.

    – DISABILITIES AND MEDICAL CONDITIONS, DIET REQUIREMENTS We are not a specialist company for the disabled, but we will do our utmost to cater for any special requirements you may have. If you or any member of your party has any medical problem or disability or special diet requirements which may affect your stay, please provide us with full details before we confirm your booking so that we can try to advise you as to the suitability of your chosen arrangements.

I agree to comply with the Regulations set out in these terms and conditions and any other regulations reasonably made from time to time and ensure that they are observed by all members of your party. We may from time to time change these Conditions without giving you notice.
